Even though a lot of our time is taken up by mentoring (we love it) and special programming projects, we are happy to show here a list of actual Drupal sites in which we have had a greatly significant impact in terms of site architecture, development and/or process engineering, and Drupal theming:
An Aegir motored multiple site admin dashboard that allows Broadsoft to create, administer and monitor branded app stores for themselves and their customers, through the magic of "everything in code" installation profiles:
Broadsoft Marketplace multisite admin server
Tea House Collective:
Tea House Collective (Humboldt County)
Photo contest with judges and voting by the public, Magazine workflow, Magazine sales with Ubercart and PayPal, an ad management system... a non-trivial site destined to dynamize the International Tango Community, with big plans for the future in terms of social networking.
At last a martial arts site that doesn't have to look ugly: a Drupal first (heavily customized Acquia Prosper sub-theme by Juan Villegas, a talented Drupal themer now working with awebfactory.com.ar, thank goodness, from whom you will be hearing a lot more in the near future)! A most non-trivial upgrade from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6, including an ad management system, a neat switcheroo from e-Commerce to Ubercart, plus an architecture of events, news, forum, special sections for sponsoring institutions, as well as dynamic blocks of various kinds. A fun and very functional site.
"TransForm works to create world-class public transportation and walkable communities in the Bay Area and beyond. We build diverse coalitions, influence policy, and develop innovative programs to improve the lives of all people and protect the environment."
Originally Drupal 5.x based, the site is now in the process of being upgraded to its own Linode VPS on the basis of Drupal 6. Transform, which "works to create world-class public transportation and walkable communities in the Bay Area and beyond," needs a CMS to allow staff to easily edit queable action alerts, campaigns, to upload easily accessible reports and resources, to manage events, and provide a space for their coalition members, the theme was designed by the Design Action Collective and made into a Zen based Drupal theme by aWebFactory. aWebFactory did the architecture and development of the website based on an agile approach using our Project Flow and Tracker tools, blessed with a highly committed participation of Transform staff in the ongoing development. Special thanks to Seth Schneider in this regard. Now, Transform is in the driver's seat of their own website.
http://macc.ceee.gwu.edu/: Theme according to client provided vector graphics and adapted to bluebreeze theme, under the hood is to be found a complicated content workflow based on the action and workflow modules, organic groups for ad hoc and pre-established employee communities and access rules, plus the event module, and of course, extensively themed CCK + views.
curtisbiologia.com: This site puts the Buenos Aires published version of the famous Helena Curtis Biology textbook on-line. The highly customized theme was Zen powered and based on the graphic design of Leandro Garcia, a friend of the house. Extensive use is made of CCK and Views, plus the glossary module.
http://helpargentina.org/: Wow, this was a huge endeavor. It was big in functionality: i18n fully bilingual, extensive use of customized easy to edit pages referencing and including content, extensive on-the-fly creation of users and content types via coding, plus cool use of touches such as image rotator (swftools module). But very high up on my list of important work was the use of an agile approach with heavy client participation (yeah Ingo and Dan!) using an early version of Project Flow and Tracker. This project went through many iterations, too many, really, and even though I did not do the e-commerce part of the functionality, I did set it up and was responsible for the initial theming (both of them :) ) through friend of the house Leandro Garcia's web design and for 85% of the architecture and coding.
